On the property, a drain system manhole
cover is located in the front walkway, only inches in front of the home’s front steps. The old cast iron cover seemed out of place in front of the house, and the homeowner liked the idea of swapping out the cover for something better.
The initial idea was to incorporate the
design of the Chicago flag, and maybe add the house number in the center. Our engineering team was delighted with the challenge, and incorporated the design elements he requested. Once the design was reviewed and approved, our team brought his idea to life during fabrication.
